New lily Crop!
We are on the brink of an exciting season with the arrival of the first bulbs. Speculation about which grower will deliver first and preparations to manage everything smoothly are in full swing.
It's always an exciting moment; in the canteen, they say, "I think they're coming this week." Speculation runs high about which grower will deliver first this year and what type will be received first. And of course, are we ready to receive all those bulbs?
Last week, the first shipment from Idaho arrived. Just because the first bulbs are in doesn't mean things will kick off right away; for us, it's a moment of silence before the storm. But it does set off the alarm bells. Everything is being prepared to handle the constant stream of bulbs for processing and packing. The packing machine has had its maintenance and is being reassembled. The installation company is finishing up the last new evaporators so that we can cool the bulbs immediately upon arrival. And the washing machine is already in full swing.
The harvest seems to be going well this year, as the rain is, unlike last year, holding off. The growers have time to bring the bulbs up beautifully from the ground. We are ready to receive them, and hopefully, you are ready to order!
